Our
Mission
The Genesis of Minds & Hearts
Since Oct. 7, Jews from all around the world are under tremendous duress. In all facets of life, whether it’s in our children’s schools, on our peer’s social media feeds or even in our local, national & international politics, Jews are being undermined and delegitimized by smears, lies and other antisemitic acts under the guise of healthy debate on the war in Gaza. This has left a huge swathe of our community being outcast from their previous circles, news-weary, fatigued and concerned about how to counter this dangerous turn of events. Through Minds & Hearts we use grass-roots mobilization to reach our Community far and wide and enable people to take back control of the narrative & alter discourse online & offline.
Our Philosophy
At our core, Minds and Hearts is a people-first, grass roots movement. Our goal is to be a unifying force for good by enabling people to take positive, decisive and coordinated action within three domains: Online, offline and through allyship.
Our Three Pillars: Unlocking Full Cycle Activation
Online
Social Media Activation
Most of the public discourse on Israel takes place on social media, which unfortunately, is rife with misinformation and antisemitic rhetoric. Since Oct. 7, individuals, groups and some in the media have been amplifying hateful voices with twisted ideologies anathema to the history of the Jewish people and the leadup to that black Saturday. Our goal is to use technology and coordinated social media campaigns to help people more positively leave their imprint in the public discourse and begin to affect change.
Offline
People to People Engagement
Upstream from social media is where public discourse, and unfortunately, violence, make their way offline and into our streets. After October 7th, we’ve seen near daily disruptions, campus protests and attacks on our people, especially Jewish students on college campuses. Our goal is to foster courage and build more people to people engagement upstream from social media to empower champions to organize, rally and confront hate on our streets.
Allyship
Unity and Coalition Building
In an increasingly lonelier world for Jews, togetherness becomes the only way realistic way to ensure our continuity. While being there for one another is important, forging allies with other cultural, ethnic and religious groups is tantamount to being heard, feeling understood and ultimately, having our history being told the right way. Our goal is to tap into the African American, Asian-American, LGBTQ+ and other minority groups to build a coalition of trust through education and understanding of shared history.
